Mac mini wireless reception POWER UPJuly 31, 2006
I moved my AirPort Express into the other room, about 25 feet away, because it or the cable modem seemed to be interfering with my Sega wireless PS2 controller. The wireless reception in the Mac mini went way the heck down. I swapped the position of the mini and the Dreamcast, thus getting about 1 foot closer and getting the DC out of the way, but no luck. I read on Apple’s support site that it’s okay to set the mini on its side, so I tried setting it on its right side, making the bottom of the mini face the base station. This made the reception even worse. Then I tried on its left side, pointinig the top of the mini at the base station. This caused the reception gauge in Internet Connect to max out! I’m back to full-speed ChronoSync and Teleport. Wheee!
